On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Frederick County Health Department and Brunswick Police Department will work together to offer a medicine disposal event at the Brunswick Police Department building located at 811 West Potomac St., Brunswick, from 10 am to 1 pm.

– Safely dispose of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted drugs

– Medications and sharps will be collected in a drive-through event format with no questions asked.

– Items that will be accepted include prescription and over-the-counter medicines (in pill form only), prescription medication patches, pet medicines (in pill form only) and sharps (used and unused).

– If disposing sharps, they must be separated from all medicine being disposed. Sharps should be placed in a sealed container such as a laundry detergent bottle labeled with an estimated number of sharps.

– Participants may dispose of their medicines in the original container and are encouraged to remove any identifying information from the prescription label.
