Maryland State Delegate Carol Krimm (D – District 3A) is working with AAFC to represent the interests of seniors in Frederick County by fighting for better care, better housing options and more funding for senior programs.
One of the programs being pursued in the state legislature is the Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. PACE is a Medicare and Medicaid program that helps people meet their health care needs in the community instead of going to a nursing home or other care facility.
PACE is currently only available in Baltimore, but the Maryland House of Delegates is working to expand the program to other counties in Maryland. Advocates for the Aging of Frederick County is working with Delegate Krimm to ensure the program comes to our area as soon as possible.
