Advocates for the Aging of Frederick County is a non-profit organization specifically devoted to advocacy on behalf of the poorest and frailest older adults of our community: those unable or unlikely to speak for themselves before policymakers and the public.
AAFC does not provide services to individuals; our role is to speak out on behalf of seniors and caregivers for the resources and programs needed in health and home services, adult daycare, respite services, and any other issues affecting seniors in our county. Through collaborative projects with the Frederick County Health Department, the Frederick County Department of Aging and Commission on Aging, Frederick Memorial Hospital, the Coalition for the Homeless, the Asian American Center of Frederick, and other government and community organizations, we work to raise awareness of and resolve policy, program and service problems and needs – large or small – faced by seniors and their families.
As a nonprofit organization, we are supported through the generous philanthropic support of individuals, businesses and foundations. To donate, click here to go to our donation page.
